Sunscreen Cemetary RIP

A collection of sunscreen products we FINISHED (RIP to them) on a recent trip to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona.

I can tell you all day long what sunscreen I personally love to use— but it’s really telling to see what sunscreen was actually used up between 4 adults and 4 kids for a few pool days.

These are the ones we loved the most:

Sonrei brand sunscreen was a clear favorite!

This whole line focuses on creative effective, fragrance-free, gentle suncare for active lifestyles. I always seem to fall in love with a sunscreen and then quickly see that it’s not water-resistant. The whole line is water resistant and that gives me confidence when applying. We are usually in and out of the pool, lake or beach and don’t have time for non-water resistant spf on those kind of days.

Sonrei Sea Clearly SPF 60 translucent gel sunscreen

This is the sunscreen that every adult said wowwwwww after applying. It feels like Supergoop Unseen which is known for being a translucent gel that doesn’t feel sticky. Sonrei matched this and put their own spin on gel sunscreen. It is moisturizing and so easy to apply. It doesn’t stain swimsuits nor does it leave a white cast. I think we especially enjoyed this one seeing as we were in the Arizona desert and our skin was drying out from the lack of humidity in the air.

Sonrei Sea Clearly SPF 50 Clear Sunscreen Spray

This is a 6oz mist which seems to be larger as most mists are about 5oz. This really is a clear sunscreen, completely fragrance free. It dries fast and was the FIRST sunscreen product to be 100% emptied.

Sonrei Clearly Zinq Mineral Gel Sunscreen SPF 60

This is a gel sunscreen but feels more like a light lotion. I think this is the mineral version of the ‘Sea Clearly Gel’ but this isn’t as GEL like as I was expecting. STILL it was a winner and we used this mainly on the kids/babies. There is potential for a white cast on deeper tones. It doesn’t feel heavy and is not chalky like so many mineral SPFs are.

Sonrei Kids Zinq SPF 60 Mineral Gel Sunscreen

I personally couldn’t find a difference between this KIDS version and the Clearly Zinq mineral gel (above). Same price as well. It has cute little graphics on it so maybe kids will be more likely to pick it up and see it as friendly? haha I don’t know!

Supergoop! Play Mousse SPF 50

I love a mousse sunscreen and this felt super easy to apply. There is suprisingly a lot in this 3 oz can. I also like to bring this mousse with me on vacation when I’m using a carry-on since tit’s only 3oz but last a while! This does have a light scent and is part of the Supergoop PLAY line. If you are not familiar with the PLAY line it is made up of basic SPF options for active and everyday use. This is light and quick absorbing- fun to apply because a mousse is much more interesting than a cream.

Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense SPF 60+ Spray

This was the cheapest option at $13 - its 5oz and goes on clear. This is really easy to apply and seems to dry up quick! It has a nice light fragrance. Nothing similar to a pina colada or heavy florals. Light + fresh and NOT obnoxiously scented. We don’t know if it’s because we were so hot when we would reapply this but it does feel like cryotherapy and was ICY ICY lol. Truly the coldest feeling sunscreen I have ever used. Not a bad thing though! just suprising!

Sunscreen Bags

As for sunscreen bags I love this one from Truffle! I’ve had it for years and it always is the perfect size and is also leak proof.

The bag with black straps was found at Walgreens but here is a similar option on Amazon

Hope this helped! Let me know your vacation sunscreen favorites!
