Sephora Sale 2021

The Sephora Sale is here! This only happens twice a year and products sell out SO naturally people go crazy and plan their baskets (myself included).

Code: YAYHOLIDAY

Before we get into my picks, here are some quick tips:

  1. This is the time to buy the big ticket items since the discount will be greater. I don't buy products from brands that are decently priced since it only saves me a dollar or so. (i.e. I don't stock up on The Inkey List or The Ordinary) BUT The Sephora Collection brand is having 30% off so this could be the exception. (Check out the Size Up Mascara $12 or $8.40 on sale)

  2. Rouge is the top tier and the sale is available to Rouge insiders first + a 20% off discount. If you have a friend who is Rouge- ask them to buy what you have been eyeing! Obviously- they should be a really good friend :) sometimes that extra 5% can make a big difference!

  3. Have your basket ready to check out as soon as you are eligible for the sale- I know many people who wake up in the middle of the night or FIRST thing on sale day and just hit checkout so they make sure to secure the goods. Gift sets usually sell out first- they are the best deal and also 'tis the season!

I didn't include my favorites from Glow Recipe or Farmacy but will share a post dedicated to my favorites soon! I have a discount code for each which makes everyday like the Sephora sale :) FarmacyBeauty.com you can use Alexa20 and Glow Recipe use Alexa15

Gift Sets that are in my cart:

The Sephora Favorites Candle Sample $50- you get to sample 5 mini candles and after you choose your favorite you can redeem the voucher for a full size candle of your choice!

54 Thrones African Beauty Butter Mini Gift Set $29-
I love this hand cream and am so happy to see this brand now at Sephora. The scents are elegant and the cream is deeply moisturizing. I am going to divide this out as gifts for holiday parties or stocking stuffers.

There are sooooo many more gift sets that I am drooling over-- will have to save that for another post.

The Biggest Splurge:

The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer - I wish I could tell you I hated this dryer and it was a complete waste BUT it's the opposite. I splurged and bought this at the last Sephora sale and I will never go back.

This is high quality and the kicker for me was my hair is so much healthier because of the heat settings and controls. If you have the money and want a fool proof way to up your hair game-- add this to your cart. I was spending so much money buying different types of shampoo, conditioner, hair masks and brushes etc.

This was the major game changer for me. When I switched to this hair dryer I can truly say I started noticing my hair health improve leaps and bounds.

If this is insanely out of your budget keep scrolling and pretend you never read this.

Skincare:

Herbivore Cloud Jelly- This is a plumping hydration serum with a jelly texture that absorbs fast! We have heard all about Hyaluronic Acid but this would be a great one for anyone who is OVER the hyaluronic acid hype and ready for other hydrating serums. This is great for all skin types and layers well with other serums and skincare.

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Boost 360 Eye- I have gone through too many of these to count. I love how this product is in an airtight pump to preserve the integrity of the eye cream AND I can pump out exactly the correct amount that I will use. This is deeply hydrating and is one of those products that you may not be able to tell a difference at first besides "oh this feels nice" but when you run out you will realize that this was gooooood!

Youth To The People 15% Vitamin C Serum- First of all this is a high quality vitamin C but with the addition of caffeine for the depuffing properties-- thats what did it for me. The night after Halloween I woke up with a puffy face (too much candy, fun and not enough water and sleep). I paired this serum with a facial massage and voila!

Summer Firdays CC Me Serum- Technically this would be considered a vitamin C serum but you know I love a product that can "do more". This also has niacinamide which is great for helping to reduce the appearance of pore size and is also wonderful for repairing the skin barrier and keeping everything in balance. I love the texture and have gone through many bottles of this a well.

Paula's Choice 1% Retinol Treatment- Retinol + Peptides + Vitamin C so of course i'm in love! Paula did not skimp on this treatment and I highly recommend this for seasoned retinol users.

Tatcha The Rice Wash- See I told you the Sephora Sale was for bougie products that you want to try but really just don't know if you want to pay full price. This cleanser is pricey but it's a full blown spa experience in this purple tube!! And for that- I say it's worth it! I love how this smells and the lather is LOVELY! I will always come back to this as a "treat yo self cleanser".

Alpyn Beauty Creamy Bubbling Cleanser- I love how this cleanser lightly exfoliates with fruit enzymes and AHA's. The bubble effect is also a plus! I'm a huge fan of this brand and adore the founder who wildcrafts the ingredients from beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser- I love a basic cleanser that is gentle and gets the job done. This one has been next to my sink and maintained it's place as a favorite ever since it launched. I also enjoy a pump when I am washing my face at night. I usually double cleanse so a pump allows me to blindly feel for the second cleanser while my face is dripping wet.

Herbivore Prism Glow Facial- If you love getting facials but want a booster treatment at home in between-- this mask is IT! This is a once a week treatment that I use to help exfoliate and also fade acne marks. Many estheticians I know actually use this as an in-office treatment. It's a heavy hitter so this should not be used more than once a week and should NOT be followed with retinol or other powerhouse products.

Youth To The People Superberry Dream Mask- She is an ICON. I usually bust out my sleeping masks in the fall as the weather gets colder and my skin starts to feel a little dry. I apply this as the last step in my skincare routine and wake up with that GLOW. I hope this product is around forever because I truly love it.

Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair- This is a beautiful sleeping mask and moisturzier. Fragrance free and great for sensitive skin. I use this on my face and will also apply to dry patches of skin that are itchy and irritated. Tatcha's Indigo line is my favorite and the Indigo moisturizer is not to be missed. The sale is the perfect time to pick up Tatcha.

Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask- Of course this is on my list! This is the recently launched *limited edition* Red Camellia shade. Both are winners in my book but the Red Camellia has a nice sheer rosy tint. I was wondering how lip mask with a tint would fare with my pillow case but I can report back that this all absorbed into my lips and didn't make me look like a clown in the morning with red lips smeared all over. This is the classic jelly texture of the Kissu mask- tastes the same with a subtle hint of peach/citrus.

This was SOOOO incredibly hard to put a list together! I feel like I could go on and on and maybe I will... I didn't include makeup, hair, fragrance or body care. Let me know if you have any questions or if there are any particular products you have been eyeing! I'm happy to do another post on the missed categories asl well--- just let me know below!
